How to Become a Health and Safety Officer
We are often asked the question of how to become a health and safety officer. A good start would be to attend a basic awareness course, such as the IOSH Managing Safely Course. From there a reasonable next step would be to achieve a more detailed qualifications, such as the NEBOSH General Certificate.
Achievement of the NEBOSH course would provide a foot on the health and safety job ladder, and would make basic jobs and experience a possibility. Once more experience has been gained, a top level qualification such as the NEBOSH National Diploma would provide access to the top jobs in the industry.
