People that are going to act as workplace emergency first aiders, or anyone wanting a basic introduction to first aid. Also suitable for people that work alone or in small teams.

Programme

The role of a first aider

Preventing cross infection

Recording incidents and actions

Using available equipment

Assessment of first aid situations

First aid treatment for unconscious casualty

Cardiopulmonary resuscitation

First aid treatment for choking, wounding, bleeding and shock

First aid treatment for minor injuries

Certification

On successful completion of assessment by the trainer, delegates are issued with an HSE approved certificate valid for three years.

This course is legally compliant with the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981.
