In House Training
All of our training courses (including CIEH, IOSH and NEBOSH courses) can be delivered on client’s premises, specifically for their employees.
The benefit of this is that the course can be tailored to the needs of the client, and can use client specific examples of policies, procedures, forms, templates etc.
There are also cost benefits in delivering health and safety courses in this way – it works out much cheaper than sending individuals one or two at a time.
There is no minimum number of delegates, but client’s will need to provide a suitable training room and refreshments.
In addition to our IOSH and NEBOSH accredited courses, we are also able to offer a variety of shorter courses to meet our clients’ needs. These can be specifically tailored to our clients’ requirements and can include client’s procedures, templates, forms etc. if required.
All attendees are provided with a handout and a certificate of attendance.

Fire Risk Assessment Training
The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order of 2005 requires all non-domestic premises to perform a fire risk assessment. Phoenix Health & Safety can perform this assessment for you, or we can provide fire risk assessment training. In just one day, we will provide delegates with the skills and knowledge to perform thorough assessments themselves. Our fire risk assessment training covers: reasons to manage health and safety, legal requirements, 5 steps to risk assessment, fire hazards and the fire triangle, and fire precautions. Upon completion of the fire risk assessment training, candidates will receive a certificate of attendance.
COSHH Risk Assessment Training
The Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) regulations requires organisations to perform a specific risk assessment for activities which involve hazardous substances. COSHH risk assessment training is required when working with biological agents; plants and vegetables which are a dermatitis risk; and chemicals which bear orange warning labels for potential hazards. Our COSHH risk assessment training provides attendees with the skills and know how to perform this assessment. The day's course involves forms and classification of hazardous substances, associated risks, and control measures. Completion of our COSHH risk assessment training earns delegates a certificate of attendance. They are then qualified to assess risks related to COSHH.
Manual Handling Training
Manual handling training is essential for activities in which items will need to be lifted and carried by members of staff. Companies are legally required to ensure a proper risk assessment is in place. It should assess the posture and movement required to move the item, the surrounding environment and the item itself. We provide manual handling training to ensure that staff understand safe handling techniques and related risk assessments.
The course lasts half a day, and covers common manual handling injuries, anatomy of the spine and how to lift safely. Manual handling training can make a huge difference to the safety of the working environment. Proper safety of workers should be a constant high priority.
In House Training
All our courses are available as in house training. This is more convenient for many companies. Undertaking the course on your own premises can be easier than sending workers away. Our in house training can be tailored to suit your needs and incorporate client specific policies or templates. You will need to provide a suitable room or area for our in house training services, as well as refreshments if required.
