Our fire safety course will last for five days with a programme that consists of six modules in Unit FC1: Fire Safety and Risk Management, and will also be followed by exams. To obtain a NEBOSH Fire Certificate you must undertake a two-hour written examination which will consist of a one long answer question and ten short answer questions. You will be required to answer all questions, and your exam will be marked by an NEBOSH appointed external examiner.
Following the UNIT FC1 examination, you will also be required to complete a UNIT FC2 practical examination - essentially a fire risk assessment on a workplace of your choice.. The assessment will normally take place in your workplace and should be taken within 14 days of the UNIT FC1 exam - and will be assessed by an internal course provider and an external NEBOSH moderator. Should you reach the appropriate assessment level targets, you will then be awarded your NEBOSH Fire Certificate.
