In today’s climate, many people don’t want, or are not able, to spend days or weeks sat in a classroom. A viable alternative is a NEBOSH distance learning course. Our courses are not simply a correspondence course – a variety of support mechanisms are in place to ensure that you are never alone.

Course Materials

Comprehensive yet concise course materials have been developed that are streets ahead of our competitors. As well as the vital information required to pass the exams, the materials are filled with pictures, examples and activities to bring the course to life. At the end of each element are revision quizzes and past exam questions to test your progress.

All NEBOSH distance learning course materials will be provided printed in a folder, and in pdf format on a CD.

We also offer a variety of extra support methods including a Facebook group for our distance learning students - regular exam questions are posted, and students get the chance to interact with each other, as well as tutors.

We also have a YouTube video channel for our distance learning students at http://www.youtube.com/user/phoenixhsc. New videos are regularly posted that will assist with study and revision.

Support

You will be provided with full support for the duration of your course. You will have access to an expert tutor – 12 hours a day, 7 days a week. There is absolutely no limit to how many times you can use this support. Support is by telephone, email or instant messaging (Skype).

Our lead tutor has gained distinctions in FOUR different NEBOSH awards and a Masters Degree in Occupational Health & Safety – ALL BY DISTANCE LEARNING! There is NO-ONE more qualified to get you through the course.

Ongoing Assessment

Your tutor will work with you to develop a personalised timetable for you to work to. There will be revision questions and activities for you to test your progress as you make your way through the course, and you will be able to discuss these with your tutor at any point.

At regular intervals, you will be required to complete an assessment that is submitted for marking and feedback by your tutor.

Exam Prices for Distance Learning students

One written exam	£80 exc. VAT
Two written exams (sat on the same day)	£120 exc. VAT
Practical exam (carried out in your own workplace)	£40 exc. VAT
Practical exam (carried out at a Phoenix health & Safety venue)	£85 exc. VAT
Two written exams (sat on the same day) and a practical exam (carried out in your own workplace)	£145 exc. VAT
Two written exams (sat on the same day) and a practical exam (carried out at a Phoenix health & safety venue)	£180 exc. VAT

If you prefer, you can sit exams at any other centre that accepts external candidates. Location, dates and prices for this would need to be obtained from the centre. Practical exams are carried out in your workplace, or a workplace you can gain access to. We may be able to assist with finding a workplace if you cannot arrange this.

Please note that we are also able to arrange exams in major cities all over the world, at British Council offices. This is subject to extra charges. Please contact us for further information on this service.

Optional Extras

Candidates are welcome to attend any individual days on our open public courses, including the revision workshop. Private face-to-face tuition at hourly rates is also available.

Individual units of the courses can be offered at £250 exc. VAT each (2 units in total per course).

We also offer the NEBOSH National Diploma by Distance Learning.

Guaranteed Pass

We are so confident in our materials and support methods, that we are prepared to offer a guaranteed pass on these courses – no other provider is that confident!

This means that you will be entitled to continue with your studies indefinitely until you have passed the course – there is no time limit.
