Our CIEH Principles of Manual Handling Level 2 Award is accredited by the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health.

Improper manual handling is a common cause of injury to individuals in the workplace and the law requires that organisations take steps to minimise risk to the lowest levels reasonably practicable.

Who Should Complete this Course?

This CIEH course equips individuals with the knowledge and practical techniques necessary to carry out manual lifting and carrying operations safely and dramatically reduce the potential for workplace injuries.

It is suited to any individual expected to lift, carry or complete any other manual labour tasks as part of their routine workplace responsibilities.

Programme of Study

The CIEH Principles of Manual Handling Level 2 Award course lasts for half a day and covers the following units of study:

  • Unit 1: Introduction to Manual Handling
  • Unit 2: Manual Handling Hazards
  • Unit 3: Legislation and Guidance
  • Unit 4: Risk Assessment
  • Unit 5: Controls and Reducing the Risk of Harm

Certification

Course candidates will be assessed on their understanding of each study unit by a qualified Phoenix Health & Safety tutor.

On successful completion of the course, participants will be awarded with a Level 2 Award certificate in the CIEH Principles of Manual Handling.

Location

This health and safety training course can be delivered on your premises for an individual or group of employees.

Please note that although we can offer this course anywhere in the UK and beyond, additional travel costs may apply if training is required outside of England and Wales.

Course Fees

Course fees for this CIEH training course includes the cost of expert tuition, course materials and certification:

£495 per course exc. VAT, plus an additional fee of £12.95 exc. VAT per delegate, up to a maximum group of 15.
