We offer a variety of courses in a classroom environment. Delegates are tutored through the course content by an expert tutor.
The course content is detailed and engaging, and a variety of teaching methods are used to get the key points across.
Our training venues are selected according to specific criteria that include natural daylight, air conditioning and plenty of space.
Locations are in major towns and cities all across the UK, including London, Birmingham, Manchester, Bristol, Leeds, Southampton and the North East.
Delegates also receive high quality lunch and refreshments on each day of the course.
From day one the tutor had the whole class involved and the interaction between tutor and students was first class. The course content was delivered to an excellent standard, the power point presentations were interesting, full of relevant material and up to date information. I would also like to thank Phoenix Health & Safety for choosing an excellent location and facilities.

Our Site Supervisors Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) courses are aimed at people who have, or are about to acquire, supervisory responsibilities. The qualification gives supervisors an understanding of health, safety, welfare, environmental and legal issues. It serves to highlight the importance of promoting safety in order to supervise in an effective manner.
The training programme is endorsed by the United Kingdom Contractors Group as the standard course for all supervisors who work on UKCG sites.
Those who complete the course may want to progress to the five-day Site Management Safety Training Scheme course. For example, existing site managers, agents, surveyors and managers should consider this extra training.
The course takes places over a period of two days.
While on the course, delegates gain an understanding of:
By the end of the course, delegates will be able to:
Delegates gain certification by completing multiple-choice questions at the end of the course. They are also expected to be interactive during the course and they must attend both training sessions. Without full attendance, the certificate cannot be awarded. Delegates must also attend the sessions in order. When this does not occur on consecutive days, it must happen within two weeks. Those who are unable to do this due to extenuating circumstances (such as sickness) have to enrol on a new course and attend both days again.
Certificates are valid for five years. However, because of changes in technology, environmental management, cultural behaviour and legislation, it is recommended that refresher courses are taken within three years.
To help candidates prepare for the multiple-choice assessment, they are provided with interactive revision materials covered by their course fees. These random multiple-choice questions are based on actual assessments and delegates receive immediate feedback. They can use the materials as many times as they wish.
This course is available in the locations displayed in the booking form above. They include Birmingham, London, Manchester, Southampton but alternative dates and venues are available on request along with refresher courses.
It can also be delivered in-house on your premises specifically for your employees. Contact us for more information.
