Candidates are assessed with written examinations for each of the two taught units. A unit certificate is issued denoting successful achievement of each unit. A Certificate award parchment is issued on completion of the two units and the practical assessment.
The NEBOSH Certificate is accepted by IOSH – the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health – in meeting the academic requirements for Technician Membership of IOSH (Tech IOSH). It is also accepted by The International Institute of Risk and Safety Management (IIRSM) for associate membership.

To obtain your NEBOSH General Certificate, you must attend a health and safety course for the scheduled eleven days. We have training locations across the UK, including London, Manchester, Nottingham, Cannock, Birmingham, Leeds, Bristol, Cambridge, Norwich and Newcastle.
Our NEBOSH certificate course is split into two units: Management of Health and Safety (NGC 1) and Controlling Workplace Hazards (NGC 2). Each NEBOSH certificate course unit will include various elements which will educate you on health and safety issues, solutions and laws, such as risk assessment, construction activities and work equipment.
Upon completion of the units, you will be assessed with a written examination which will incorporate information learnt in both module units and you will also be required to take a practical examination. Should you successfully complete both examinations, you will then be issued with a NEBOSH national general certificate.
The Institute of Occupational Health and Safety (IOSH) accepts the NEBOSH national general certificate when meeting the academic requirements for the Technician Membership of IOSH (Tech IOSH).
