Competent Advice You Can Stand Behind

When an inspector, insurer or client asks who carried out your risk assessment, the answer matters. Phoenix consultants combine recognised professional qualifications with practical experience of real workplaces, so the advice you get is pragmatic, proportionate and right for how your business works.

Every report names the consultant who carried out the work and their qualifications, so you always have a clear answer.

Qualified to professional standards

Our team includes Chartered Members of IOSH, the professional body for health and safety, and holds NEBOSH qualifications in general and construction safety.

Specialists in fire safety

Fire risk assessments are carried out by qualified assessors using PAS 79, a widely recognised method for fire risk assessment. The team includes members of the Institute of Fire Safety Managers and the Institution of Fire Engineers.

Multi-industry experience

Our consultants understand the pressures behind the paperwork because they’ve worked in manufacturing, logistics, construction, education, healthcare, hospitality and more.

Knowledge that stays current

Regulations and guidance change, so our consultants keep up to date through professional membership and ongoing development. The service is led by our Health and Safety Director, Toby Bidwell CMIOSH FIIRSM.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Risk-Ready Review a sales call?

It’s a practical review of your arrangements, followed by an optional discussion about ongoing support. We'll begin with a conversation about your arrangements and priorities, and will provide a concise written report with recommended next steps. If ongoing support would help, we'll explain what it involves and what it costs. There's no obligation and the report is yours either way.

Will the documents be generic?

No. Your policy and risk assessments are based on your premises, your activities and your people.

Do I need a written health and safety policy?

If you have five or more employees, you must write your health and safety policy down. We'll write it with you and help you put it into practice.

What does the advice cover?

Compliance questions, support when something goes wrong, and help interpreting regulations. Call or email a qualified consultant as often as you need.

How long is the agreement?

Agreements run for 12, 24 or 36 months, so you can start with a single year. You'll see the full terms in your quote before you commit.

Are there any hidden costs?

No. Your quote lists everything that's included, and anything extra is agreed with you before we do it.

How quickly can we start?

Straight away. Once you've signed, your consultant arranges your first visit and starts on your audit and action plan.

What if something happens outside office hours?

You have direct access to your consultant at any time of day, by phone or email.

Do you cover my area?

Our consultants work across the UK.

We already have some support. Can you help?

Yes. We can add capacity, carry out audits or work alongside your current adviser.
