Designed for workers at an operational level within an organisation, IOSH Working Safely is an entry level health and safety course which covers the core knowledge any worker needs to stay safe at work. The course is jargon-free and accessible for all workers; by the end of it delegates will:

IOSH Managing Safely

As the name implies, IOSH Managing Safely is aimed at managers and supervisors, providing them with all the skills and knowledge necessary to keep themselves and their team safe. This includes learning to:

Understand the importance of managing health and safety in the workplace
Define the key terms relating to health and safety
Understand how to assess, reduce, identify, and control risks in the workplace
Measure health and safety within your own workplace
Apply best practice principles to your organisation’s health and safety systems

We also offer the IOSH Managing Safely Refresher. This course acts as a refresher for those who studied IOSH Managing Safely in the past, and IOSH recommend taking the refresher every three years.

IOSH Leading Safely

The final IOSH course offered by Phoenix is IOSH Leading Safely. It looks at an organisation’s health and safety responsibilities through the lens of a leader or director, considering health and safety in the context of business objectives, and making it easy for delegates to implement their new skills and knowledge. After studying IOSH Leading Safely, delegates will:

Recognise the importance of strategic health and safety management in the workplace
Learn how to integrate health and safety into business management systems
Gain awareness of workplace health and safety in line with UK legislation
Increase business productivity through effective health and safety management

IOSH Course Costs

The cost of our IOSH courses is different depending on which method you choose to learn through, however the starting prices for each are:

IOSH Working Safely prices start from £85 + VAT
IOSH Managing Safely prices start from £195 + VAT
IOSH Leading Safely is delivered in-house, so we’ll provide you with a quote depending on the number of delegates studying the course and whether you want a trainer on your premises or virtually.

Each price includes the IOSH fees, as well as certificate costs, study materials and access to our study support team. The other main factor affecting price is the learning method:

Classroom learning: Study in one of our specially selected venues from across the UK. Courses are led by one of our expert trainers and delegates study alongside peers, making for a co-operative and engaging learning experience. Prices include venue and tutor fees, as well as food and refreshment costs.
Virtual Classroom: Ideal for students wanting a tutor led experience who don’t want to travel, virtual classroom courses take place via Zoom. You’ll still get to interact with other students and ask your tutor questions, and as such the price includes the tutor fees.
E-learning: Our online courses allow you to study the course content at your own pace via our e-learning platform. As there are no tutor fees, this course is cheaper than the other learning styles.
In-house: the other way to remove the hassle of travelling from your learning experience is to study our courses in-house. This learning option involves one of our expert tutors coming directly to your premises and delivering the course on site, or delivering a course to your team virtually. As such, it can be an efficient way to train up multiple members of staff at once. The price of in-house courses includes tutor fees.
