The duration of the CDM Awareness training course depends on which learning style you choose.

When studied In-House, it is a one-day course which can be studied in your workplace.

When you study through e-Learning, Phoenix recommends taking 90 minutes to complete the course. Students have access to the e-Learning course for 1 month from date of purchase.

The CDM awareness course covers the following topics: 

• Overview of the CDM legal regulations and summary of key changes  

• Definitions and applications of the CDM regulations 

• Key roles and responsibilities – Client, Designer, Principal Designer, Principal Contractor and Contractors  

• Site safety requirements  

• Pre-construction information and the health and safety plan  

• Planning and maintenance of a safe construction environment 

The learning objectives of the CDM Awareness course are: 

• The definition of health, safety and welfare 

• Reasons for managing health and safety- Moral, Legal and Financial 

• What construction work is; key duty holders 

• The legal and organisational health & safety roles and responsibilities of clients, designers, the Principle Contractor, contractors and workers Pre-Construction information, the Health and Safety File and the Construction Phase Plan 

• Important Regulations as detailed in CDM regulations 2015

When and how will I receive my certificate?

Once you complete the course, a confirmation of results is available immediately. This certificate can be mailed to your business or directly to course delegates.

Is the Phoenix CDM Awareness course assessed?                              

The course is not assessed, however on request an assessment can be produced and delivered at the end of the course.
