Upon completing the NEBOSH HSE Award in Managing Risks and Risk Assessment at Work, delegates will understand:
The reasons for managing health and safety risks including competence of those involved and the importance of consultation with relevant workers.
How to effectively manage risk, which will involve identification and understanding of risk potential and its control.
Where to find sources of information to help identify and manage risk, and the application of the HSE risk assessment tools.
The NEBOSH HSE Award in Managing Risks and Risk Assessment at Work is assessed via a practical assessment after the course programme is complete. Delegates watch a video showing them around a workplace and then complete a risk assessment based on what they’ve seen. This assessment will include identifying hazards, determining the level of risk they pose and identifying control measures which can be used to mitigate the risk.
After submitting this risk assessment, it will be marked and returned in 24 working days. Successful candidates receive a certificate to evidence their completion of the course.
