What is the NEBOSH Health and Safety at Work Qualification?

The NEBOSH Health and Safety at Work Qualification is a perfect introduction to health and safety in the workplace, suitable for all employees. It is a practical qualification, and part of the requirement is for candidates to carry out a risk assessment in a suitable workplace.

Course programme and duration

The NEBOSH Health and Safety at Work Qualification involves three days of tuition and covers the following areas of study:

The next step for NEBOSH Health and Safety at Work Qualification holders is often IOSH Managing Safely or the NEBOSH General Certificate.

Assessment and certification

The NEBOSH Health and Safety at Work award course is assessed in two parts:

  • HSW1 - a multiple-choice exam designed to test the candidate’s knowledge
  • HSW2 - a workplace-based risk assessment to test the practical application

All candidates who successfully complete the course will be awarded a NEBOSH Health and Safety at Work Qualification Certificate.

Location

This three-day course can be delivered on your premises to individuals or groups of employees. If preferred, courses can be arranged at one of our dedicated learning centres across the UK.
